SHS Grand Reunion – Event Info & Details

The SHS Grand Reunion is almost here, and we’re excited to welcome over 500 Railroaders & their family back for a weekend full of memories, music, and fun!

Key Information:

📅 Dates

Friday, August 2 – Downtown Sparks at Great Basin Brewery (3:30–10:30 PM)

Saturday, August 3 – Sparks High School Gym (Brickhouse)

🚗 Parking & Shuttles

Friday (Downtown):

Park at the Victorian Parking Garage (955 C St) or Deco Complex (100 free spots)

Shuttle runs every 15–20 minutes from 3:30–10:30 PM (donated by Boys & Girls Club of Northern Nevada)

Saturday (Sparks High):

Primary Lot: 130 spots by Robert Mitchell (enter on G Street)

Secondary Lot (opens later): 90 spots

Faculty Lot: 50 spots at 15th & G

Golf cart shuttle available from the parking lot to gym

Please carpool if possible

🪑 What to Bring

Portable chair (especially Friday night downtown)

Photo (4x6 or 5x7) for the Railroaders Remembered tribute board

Cash/card/Venmo/PayPal for raffle tickets or donations

🧼 Restrooms

Friday & Saturday: 2 Sani-Hut trailers with sinks

Friday: Indoor restrooms at Great Basin

Saturday: Indoor restrooms in SHS gym + Quickspace 4-stall AC unit

🍔 Food & Drink

Friday:

You’re on your own—support local businesses downtown!

Saturday (Free):

One hot dog or hamburger per person

Water and sides included

Simple salad available

Please wait until all are served before seconds

Bring snacks if you have dietary restrictions

The Snack Shack will be open, selling other goodies that supports the Sparks High School Boosters

🎟 Raffle Info

Tickets sold at Welcome/Raffle Tables

$20 = 25 tickets, $5 = 5 tickets

Red/Orange = 50/50 raffle

Yellow = Door/raffle prizes (you choose where to enter)

Write your name and phone number on the stub so we can contact the winners

🏷 Name Tags

Pick up at the Welcome Table each day

Write:

Full name (and maiden name, if applicable)

Graduation year (top right corner)

🖼 Museum & History

Friday Only:

Sparks Museum Open 4–7:30 PM

Featuring the new Sparks High exhibit

$5 admission or $40 membership (enter to win $250 + free Sparks Centennial Book or Pickles Poster by Sparks resident, Brian Crane)

Glendale Schoolhouse & Train:

Open for self-guided tours (weather permitting)
